LES CORRESPONDANCES D'EASTMAN PRESENT
LETTERS FROM KNOWLTON
1st edition on August 1st and 2nd, 2009
On August 1st and 2nd, the quaint little village of Knowlton will be transformed into an outdoor literary salon! Besides letter-writing, you’ll be able to take part in many other literary activities in the company of Anglophone authors who will participate in literary discussions in this very first satellite edition of LES CORRESPONDANCES D'EASTMAN LITERARY FESTIVAL IN KNOWLTON: LETTERS FROM KNOWLTON.
Guest authors will be speaking of their vision of America and how this vision may influence their work and our territorial identity. NB. The literary cafés will be held in English.

Why not take advantage of this literary celebration to write a few letters to the people you love? These letters will be mailed free of charge as long as the letters are written on the official festival’s stationery. Purchase the event’s 100% biodegradable official pen that contains a genuine jack pine seed in its cap, intended for planting.
Try to recall the last time you received a letter, how stunned and amazed you felt; how you went to sit nice and straight while reading it slowly to enjoy each word and thought that was being delivered.
Now think about the pleasure and surprise your reader will experience when receiving your letter from Knowlton. Letters that speak of joyful and funny things… a letter to your lover, your spouse, your grandparents, your child, your grandchild, a long lost friend or even a boring brother-in-law!
Don’t let the postman wait. Take a moment right now to write…even a letter to God, if you can find the address!
The writing quarters will be opened from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and 10am to 3pm on Sunday. The passport-pen for Les Correspondances d’Eastman in Knowlton provides access to the Knowlton site only.
Official Program Launch: May 19, 2009
This is a production, presented in collaboration with the Brome Lake municipality and Canada Post.
